Bump in the road....

I broached the subject with my parents last night that some of the lads wanted to go to Vegas in November and their response was 'Ahh that's a shame, the one place you can't go'.

Kind of lifetilting. My parents are a lot more laid back than most and just let me get on with my shit but this is one thing, after what happened when I was at uni, that I feel I may have to bite the bullet and accept.

I just soooo want to go to Vegas. Shall I just go and say I'm going somewhere else?

Argh mindfuck, what shall I do?

Argh that sucks dude,

Might look a bit suspicious saying you were going somewhere else in November lol...I guess Cuba or something.

I'd only go for that option if you trust yourself in Vegas, as I'm assuming that's why they don't want you to go? Remember what I did my first time out there mate, and however much you think you can control yourself, it's still Vegas.

I'm thinking a little bending of the truth is okay if you really want to go, seems (from your last post/general plan) like you're treating the idea sensibly, so...

Just tell them its something you go to do. Hard to lie as they know you want to go there in November so hardly going to fall for the "November Stag Week in Butlins" line

Honest is always best but if ever going to deceive then say nowt at all :)

I basically got kicked out of uni when I wasn't attending anything because live poker and the other things that went alongside it (blackjack/roulette) became all I was doing. Even though now I've finally eradicated the house games it's still a scene my olds wont want me near.

MMMMmmmmmm

My guess is you are going to go anyway ...

The more you put it off the more likely it is to turn into a blow out.

I suggest you go but take a very close circle of friends that you will listen to if things get silly.

Other than that take big friends that can carry you away if its going bad (concious or unconcious).

Anyway good luck.

How come you need your parents permission anyway?
